1) The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is hosting an Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 22, 2023
Time: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Location: West Bench Elementary, 1604 West Bench Dr.

– Pitch-In community clean-up hosted by RDOS Recreation (starts at 10:00 am)

2) The City of Penticton invites you to celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 22, 2023
Time: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Location: Gyro Park, 55 Main St.
Ride transit for free or ride your bike and park for free in the Bike Valet.

– Support Our Blue Skies – Help us make active transportation easier in Penticton.
– Better Your Recycling – Test your recycling IQ and spin the wheel to win a prize

3) April 17-23rd is Summerland’s 14th Annual Earth Week celebrations. Come join the community in celebrating, honoring and learning about our planet. This year’s theme is Food Security and Resilience to Climate Change.
The following FREE activities are taking place:
Tuesday April 18th Film Screening of ‘First We Eat’

Thursday April 20th Deep Dive Food Security and Resilience

Saturday April 22 Earth Day Fair

Location: George Ryga Arts & Cultural Centre (green space)
At 9:30AM a ceremonial tree planting will take place at Memorial Park to honor the Districts role as Spokesperson for the 2023 Mobilizing Municipalities Campaign by Earth Day Canada.
Sunday April 23 17th Annual Earth Day Planting Event
Location: Peach Orchard Park at the boat launch
