Climate/Weather

The South Okanagan is famous for it’s hot summer days, cool nights and low precipitation during the summer. The city of Penticton is known as the fourth driest city in Canada yet it also takes the title for cloudiest city during the months of December and January. These weather changes are indicative of a community that experiences all four seasons. The seasons lend themselves well to activity and agriculture in the city. The winters, while mild in the city with little snowfall, produce enough snow in the hills for great skiing and winter pursuits.
